🎨 Five Elements Color Theory
Each of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—corresponds to specific colors. Choosing outfit colors based on the Five Elements interaction helps align your appearance with daily energy flow.
★ Lucky Color Principle
The element I generate represents the Output Star, associated with creativity, confidence, and wealth opportunities. Wearing lucky colors aligns with favorable timing and enhances personal expression.
★★ Supportive Color Principle
The same element as the Day Master represents the Companion Star, which supports cooperation, social harmony, and teamwork—ideal for meetings and social occasions.
⚠ Colors to Avoid
The element I control represents the Wealth Star, which may consume energy when overused. Wearing avoid colors on important occasions may reduce efficiency and increase effort.
What Is This System?
The Five Elements Outfit Guide is based on Wu Xing (五行, Five Phases) — one of the foundational theories in Chinese philosophy. The five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element corresponds to specific colors, and their interactions determine which colors bring favorable energy on a given day.

How Colors Are Determined
Each day has a Day Master (日主) determined by its Heavenly Stem. The Day Master belongs to one of the Five Elements. Colors are ranked by how they interact with the Day Master:
- Highly Auspicious — The element the Day Master generates (Output Star)
- Auspicious — Same element as the Day Master (Companion Star)
- Neutral — The element that generates the Day Master (Resource Star)
- Unfavorable / Avoid — Elements that drain or conflict with the Day Master
